I am amazed by artists constantly. There are so many inspiring artists out there and always something to learn. For now, I’d like to highlight some of the most well-known artists I actually like and who have influenced me. I admire Leonardo da Vinci, Andy Warhol, and Claude Monet greatly.

Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci is renowned for his revolutionary painting techniques as well as his innovative inventions. His works such as the Last Supper and Mona Lisa are masterpieces that have stood the test of time and his inventions are still relevant. He has fascinated me ever since I was young. He is the quintessential Renaissance man, having played his hand in everything. I found a kindred spirit in this aspect as I am always endlessly curious. I try new mediums and styles all time, never sticking to one thing too long. This want to try everything out and always be experimenting, I believe is vital as an artist.

Claude Monet

Claude Monet was a French impressionist painter whose works are characterized by their vivid colors and light-filled landscapes. He’s one of the first artists to display nature in its truest form. His paintings capture moments that are both fleeting yet timeless.  He was a pioneer in landscape painting. I learned about Monet rather young as well. I just thought his art was beautiful. There is a simplicity in his art that still thrums with life, and that is such a hard balance for me. I have a busy mind that makes me think complicated. But his art reminds me of the beauty and importance of the simple rules of art.

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was an American pop artist who changed the way people think about art. His Pop Art movement revolutionized the art world with its bold colors and iconic images. He is among the inspiring artists I love. The bright colors and bold designs revolutionized modern art by combining popular culture with fine art. Monet created a space for these different worlds to interact. Personally, I love bringing pop culture into artwork. While I can appreciate modern and intellectual pieces, I find more joy in the popular. It speaks to a wider audience which can be very important.

These great artists have all inspired me throughout the years. The art styles may vary greatly, but they are all talented and creative. While most of us have heard these names before, I suggest returning to look again. Look at their art as art this time, ignore the famous name attached. Their art has stood the test of time for a reason, and there is so much to learn.
