I am thrilled that my large eagle painting has been accepted into this year’s Vivid Exhibition! This is not just an opportunity for me to display my work; it’s a significant milestone in my artistic journey that I want to share with all of you!
When I started creating this piece, I envisioned capturing the exhilarating feeling of flight and freedom so inherently tied to these animals. The vibrant teal and pink tones I chose reflect the energy and liveliness felt when being free and creating a dramatic contrast that draws the viewer in. Every stroke was meticulously crafted to portray not just the feelings, but also the real-life beauty of the eagle.
This exhibition was a nationwide collaboration showcasing diverse artistic talents, and being selected among many talented artists is an incredible honor. They received nearly 800 submissions, and to be part of the only 66 pieces that were accepted is amazing. It represents more than just recognition — it signifies growth, perseverance, and the power of following one’s passion. Art, for me, has always been about expressing emotions and connecting with others, and this exhibition provides the perfect platform for that.
While I was not able to attend the opening ceremony, I did tune in for their livestream. There’s nothing quite like seeing my work displayed among so many talented others! If you’re in the area (Norfolk, VA), make sure to come and see the exhibition.
