Museum Art – Love is Gold

Uncategorized

I am thrilled to share that I have a painting in the new exhibit at the Putnam Museum, Tails from Tales!

Tails from Tales

Tails from Tales is an exhibit exploring the animals from our classic children’s books. Putnam has partnered with multiple artists to commission original art pieces reimagining these animals. I had the honor to do this as well, and create some museum art! Love is Gold, is inspired by the book “I’ll Love You Forever.”

I loved this storybook for its beautiful scenery throughout. It tells the story of a mother and cub going through the seasons of the Arctic. I rarely do backgrounds or scenery in my art, but loved the golden forest depicted on one page. I love the warm tone which we rarely see in the Arctic. It adds to the overall warm and loving tone of the piece. I was a little nervous painting this, but it came out amazing!

Additionally, the museum exhibit is a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my work to a wider audience. I am excited to see how people will react to my painting and what kind of conversations it will spark. Art has the power to connect people from different walks of life and inspire them in ways they never thought possible. And being able to showcase museum art is an honor!

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the museum curators for selecting me to participate in this exhibit. It is a dream come true for me, and I am looking forward to experiencing it in person. For anyone who loves art, I encourage you to visit this exhibit and witness the beauty and diversity of the artworks on display. The exhibit opens November 18th, 2023, and will be up through May 2024.
